Hi, thanks for checking out my work. My name is Dillon and I am a Portland, OR based photographer.
My interest in photography started back in NYC during high school. My best friend Zen was the first person to introduce me to taking photos back on his fire escape in Manhattan. Dark room classes with one of our favorite teachers Roy were the next step in my journey. While I enjoyed the hands on process of film photography, I knew that digital was what I really wanted to explore. Shortly there after I got my first camera; a Canon T5i. I remember immediately running outside to take photos of the flowers in my neighbors garden. From there I focused on the architecture of the NYC sky scrapers, the beauty of the various bridges along with whatever else caught my eye between NYC and my college town of New Paltz.
Many years later, a few camera bodies loved, lots of lenses utilized and a handful of tripods damaged I have found myself in the PNW. While I don’t have a niche I focus on, I have found the beauty of Oregon ever inspiring. I would say I am an opportunistic photographer with some poorly thought out shoots/shots.
If you have made it this far I appreciate your time. I hope you enjoy the photos.
